Welfare Units FAQs

Does a welfare unit meet HSE requirements on its own?

A single welfare unit covers the toilet, washing, and rest-area requirements under the HSE's Approved Code of Practice for Welfare at work. Depending on your site headcount, you may need multiple units or additional standalone toilets to meet capacity guidance — tell us your average daily headcount and we'll confirm what's needed.

Can we get monthly invoicing on a business account?

Yes. Trade and construction accounts can move to weekly or monthly invoicing with agreed payment terms rather than paying per delivery. Set this up by emailing leads@portabletoiletrentals.co.uk with your company details and expected hire duration.

Can the unit be towed to a new position on the same site as work progresses?

Yes, welfare units are built on a towable chassis specifically so they can be repositioned as work areas shift, without a full collection and redelivery. Contact us to arrange a site move.

What's the minimum hire term for a welfare unit?

Weekly hire is standard, with no fixed maximum — long-running site contracts on rolling weekly terms are our most common welfare unit booking.
